Secretary
Jeremy Thomas is Secretary of iHemp NSW and brings a strong background in sustainability, communications and sector-building within the industrial hemp and bio-based construction space.
He is the founder of Environmentarian, a sustainability-focused initiative supporting climate-positive industries, and the creator of the Hemp Building Directory (HBD) a national platform connecting growers, processors, designers, builders, researchers, and educators working with hemp-based building materials.
Through his work, he has played a key role in education, advocacy and industry coordination, helping to improve visibility, collaboration, and market readiness for hemp building and fibre applications across Australia. His experience spans stakeholder engagement, event delivery, content development, and strategic communications, with a strong focus on practical outcomes for industry and community.
As Secretary, he supports iHemp NSW through governance, communications and member engagement, helping to strengthen the organisation’s operational foundations and industry impact.
Jeremy rebuilt and manages this website.

Secretary of iHemp NSW and an active member of the Marketing Sub-Committee, I support the organisation by strengthening communication, improving member engagement, and helping showcase the growing opportunities within Australia’s industrial hemp sector. I’m passionate about education, advocacy, and building the visibility of hemp’s role in sustainable construction, agriculture, and regional development. Through my work, I aim to help the industry grow with clarity, credibility, and community. I have a passion for hemp especially in the building sector with a zoomed in focus on hempcrete – I co-founded the Hemp Building Directory with Kirstie Wulf and run the website and tech systems.
Much of this mission driven work falls under the scope of work by Environmentarian, and ethical agency I founded to help organisations with their online ecosystem.
