The Australian industrial hemp sector will reunite this September for the fifth Australian Industrial Hemp Conference (AIHC), taking place from 21–23 September 2026 at the Nyaal Banyul Convention and Event Centre in Geelong, Victoria. Carrying the theme “Growing Together”, the conference will bring together growers, processors, researchers, businesses and policymakers from across Australia and overseas to strengthen collaboration and help shape the future of the industry. Since the inaugural AIHC in 2018, held shortly after industrial hemp was legalised nationally in 2017, the event has become a key platform for building connections across the hemp value chain and highlighting opportunities in fibre, food, construction and manufacturing.
A major focus of AIHC 2026 will be recognising the achievements made by the industry over the past eight years, with state associations invited to present stories showcasing milestones, innovation and regional growth. The conference also arrives at an important time for Australian agriculture, as climate challenges and the need for sustainable industries continue to intensify.
